Valentines day menu - The Potting Shed

Valentine Menu Thursday 14th February 2008
£26.50 per Lover

Starters

Tiger prawns in a batter with a tangy crème fraiche dressing on crisp salad leaves

Gressington duck terrine with sweet onion marmalade and toasted brioche

Mushroom ravioli parcels, served with asparagus and a cream cheese and spring onion sauce

Intermediate Course

Sorbet of champagne in a mint ice bowl

Main Course

Pan seared chicken supreme on a cider baked fondant potato and rich jus

Rosette of lamb with an herb berry crust, roasted parsnips and a sweet honey sauce

Grilled lemon sole with buttered curly kale, shitake mushrooms and a oyster sauce

Goats cheese strudel, wilted spinach, kalamati olives and a chive beurre blanc

Main courses will be served with a selection of vegetables

Desserts

Mille fuille of raspberry and chocolate with quenelle of mango ice cream

Champagne and strawberry parfait with praline sauce

Bailey’s rice pudding

Caramelised apple tarte tatin with cardamom and vanilla pod ice cream

Home-made petit fours and coffee
